Tongue and Lip Frenulum Correction

A tongue or lip frenulum that is too tight can affect breastfeeding, speech, oral hygiene and even the position of the front teeth. With laser frenectomy we correct it almost bleeding-free, with little pain and a short healing time – in infants, children and adults.

Tongue and lip frenula are small connective-tissue attachments in the oral cavity that can sometimes lead to functional or aesthetic problems.

With the tongue frenulum (ankyloglossia), restricted tongue mobility can cause speech or breastfeeding problems and make oral hygiene more difficult, which increases the risk of caries. A lip frenulum that is too tight or attached too low can promote a gap between the teeth (diastema), problems with dentures, gum recession or irritation.
