Fibromas, papillomas, epulis or small bony growths in the oral cavity are generally harmless – but should be examined and removed if they cause discomfort.

Benign growths in the oral region are growths of the soft tissue or bone that are generally harmless but can be removed for functional or aesthetic reasons.

Do all benign growths have to be removed?
Benign growths are generally harmless and do not necessarily have to be removed – removal is advisable in case of discomfort or for functional or aesthetic reasons.
Is the removal painful?
The removal is carried out gently on the tissue, for example with laser therapy or surgical excision.
