Sinus Lift
Sinus Lift – Bone Augmentation in the Upper Jaw

In the lateral upper jaw, the bone is often no longer sufficient for an implant after tooth loss because the maxillary sinus extends downwards. With an internal or external sinus lift we carefully raise the floor of the maxillary sinus and fill the space with bone material – the proven solution for stable implants in the upper jaw.
The sinus lift is a proven and effective method of modern implantology for compensating for a lack of bone in the upper jaw.

Treatment process
- Diagnostics and planningDiagnostics and planning using 3D imaging (DVT/CBCT).
- Surgical accessSurgical access to the maxillary sinus through an incision in the gum.
- Placement of the bone materialBone material is introduced into the resulting cavity.
- Healing phaseHealing phase of 4–9 months before or simultaneously with implant placement.
02
Your benefits
- Insufficient bone height in the upper jaw – common after prolonged tooth loss with bone resorption
- Extensive pneumatisation of the maxillary sinus – an enlarged sinus reduces the amount of bone beneath it
- Avoidance of alternative, more invasive bone grafting – the sinus lift is a targeted measure

- The Dental Implant Briefly ExplainedA dental implant replaces not only the visible crown – it replaces the tooth root itself.
- Benefits of Dental Implants – why an implant? An implant protects healthy neighbouring teeth, preserves the jawbone and feels just like a natural tooth.
- Implant Placement Step by Step – the Treatment ProcessA dental implant is a precisely planned process carried out in several carefully coordinated steps – from 3D diagnostics through guided implant placement to the final crown.
- Certified Implantology PracticeThe German Society for Implantology (DGI e. V.) has awarded the practice owner the designated focus in implantology and has recertified it several times.
