My name is Said Hawali. As a specialist oral surgeon focusing on implantology and bone reconstruction, I have been treating patients in Berlin for more than two decades. During this time I have performed thousands of oral-surgical procedures – from the gentle removal of wisdom teeth and complex implant placements through to extensive augmentation of the jawbone.

My professional path is defined by academic training, several years of work in renowned practices and clinics, and continuous further training and specialisation both in Germany and abroad. Today I head the Oral Surgery and Implantology at Rosenthaler Platz in Berlin-Mitte – a practice in which medical excellence, state-of-the-art technology and personal care go hand in hand.

Academic training and specialisation

After studying dentistry and obtaining my licence to practise as a dentist, I consistently focused on surgical dentistry. This was followed by several years of advanced training as a specialist oral surgeon – an independent field of specialisation that, in Germany, is completed according to clearly defined standards set by the State Dental Associations (Landeszahnärztekammern) and concludes with a state specialist examination.

In parallel, I deepened my expertise in dental implantology. I am a certified implantologist of the German Society for Implantology (DGI e.V.) – one of the most renowned professional associations in Europe. This certification requires not only proof of a large number of successfully placed implants, but also regular clinical observerships, scientific case documentation and continuous further training.

In addition, I hold qualifications in 3D CBCT diagnostics, laser medicine and treatment under sedation (twilight sedation) – procedures that provide greater safety, precision and comfort in our practice every day.

Stages of my professional career

Before founding the practice at Rosenthaler Platz, I worked in several established dental and maxillofacial surgery facilities. These positions not only opened up a broad clinical spectrum to me, but also introduced me to a range of treatment philosophies.

• Clinical work: surgical assistance and independent operations in oral and maxillofacial surgery departments.
• Private practices: many years of work as an employed oral surgeon and visiting surgeon in Berlin and the surrounding area.
• Own practice in Berlin-Mitte: establishing and heading the Oral Surgery and Implantology at Rosenthaler Platz, with a focus on implantology, bone augmentation and aesthetic functional restoration.

This wide-ranging experience allows me today to confidently assess even complex findings and to develop individual treatment concepts – always with the aim of preserving teeth wherever possible, and of offering solutions that are convincing both functionally and aesthetically where replacement becomes necessary.

• Accompanying procedures: 3D CBCT diagnostics, PRF autologous blood therapy, microsurgical suturing techniques, treatment under sedation for anxious patients.

Quality in oral surgery is not a static condition – it demands continuous further training. That is why I am an active member of several professional associations and regularly take part in national and international congresses, observerships and hands-on courses.
